The other day I saw someone on Facebook selling a breast pump... Please tell me it isn't just me who finds that weird...

I think I know the person you're talking about, she did only use it a couple of times and it can be sterilised. I wouldn't do it personally but if someone is strapped for cash it would be a godsend xx @firsttimemummy21

I bought mine second hand, even though they said it was only used on one occasion it didn't bother me. As long as its all sterilised, I don't see the problem? each to their own though.

@amyfreemz, the only secondhand stuff I have for my daughter is some 3-6 month clothing from family haha xx

Finally someone agrees with me! My mum has been trying to talk me into getting nearly everything second hand for my little girl but I just can't unless it's family! I'm even funny about second hand clothes xx

Yeah, things I wouldn't get second hand are bottles/sterilisers/ breast pump/ mattress etc, but if someone gave me a second hand walker or something (only someone I know so I know the type of household it's come from) then I wouldn't care, I think i suffer from ocd though haha @firsttimemummy21 xx

They advise you not to buy second hand don't they, my midwife said not to, you can get the manual tommee tippee for £15 that's so cheap @firsttimemummy21 I wouldn't use second hand on things like that especially if I didn't know the person it had come from xx

most local children's centers hire them out.... now that's a lot of different boob juice. I don't see a problem with it myself, but I did buy a new one as it was 50% off x

@firsttimemummy21, no I agree, I wouldn't buy one second hand myself especially without buying new tests but with breast pumps... Electric ones are usually about £100 and you can buy new parts so the bit that attaches to the boob is new... It'd just be the bottle and actual pump that's been used... I wouldn't think it's weird to have my milk in the same bottle as another mummy's... I wouldn't feel that way about formula... They're so expensive so sometimes people don't have another option. Xx

Mine was second hand but never had been used :) So was basically new :) xx

@jodieiokie, I wouldn't be able to buy second hand bottles, not because of that reason but because I think stuff like that needs to be new xx

I wouldn't say it's weird as you can sterilise most parts of a pump now days. Each to their own haha xx
