So I've noticed that when I bathe my daughter and any water gets on her face (like when I rinse soap out of her hair) she will gasp like she's drowning. She cries too. Well I found out yesterday that when my aunt had her a couple weeks ago she gave her a bath and she slipped underwater. I really hope that it won't cause her to have fear of water later in life :(
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page
Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
I can't believe it My cousin stayed with me rent free from September 2015 to April 2016 and her stuff is still in my apartment. She's been saying she was going to come get her stuff for months. She text me this morning saying that she was going to come and get her stuff soon, and I asked her if I could have her air mattress. She tried to charge me $60 for it. The air mattress sells new for $35 on amazon and she didn't even pay $60 for it. I didn't respond and she just text me saying the $60 was for a microwave she bought me and her air mattress. When she got the microwave, it was a gift. Then when my son was in the hospital from October to January out of town, I was going to get my internet service turned off until I returned home. My cousin was doing school work online, so I paid for it while I was away so she could use it. I'm trying to figure out a response to her. ?
What would you do? - baby shower SO my mom has been very negative about the baby my entire pregnancy. Especially in the beginning, she said the most HORRIBLE things about me, my DH and my unborn baby. Like that I was making a big mistake, that I was making her 2015 the worst year ever... etc etc. Even when she would do nice things she made me feel like I was a HUGE inconvenience and a burden to her. She told me to definitely NOT expect a shower or anything like that from her. Fine, whatever, I don't need her, I didn't have this baby for her to raise. I'm married, living on my own and paying all my own expenses.
Question. When I found out I was pregnant my doctor immediately sent me for blood work and a dating ultrasound. My friend called and told her doctor she was pregnant and they told her to wait till she was like 9 or 10 weeks to be seen. Is this common? Should she fight to be seen earlier?

I can't get water on my face when I shower. I keep a towel right there and dry my face whenever any water gets on it and it's hard for me when I wash my face. I drowned when I was 3 and was brought back. Subconsciously that crap stays with you. But her just slipping under real fast hopefully won't damaged her long-term. My daughter has never slipped under but she gasps when water gets on her face. It's a reflex. Same as how when you blow on their face they swallow (good way to get them to take medicine). So hopefully it's just the reflex and not her actually getting scared :( and if she is scared I hope it doesn't last!! Poor baby
