For all those mommies who've given birth already, I have a question. After your baby was born & the Dr. placed your little one on you covered in amniotic fluids & what not, did you notice an odor to the gooey stuff on your baby???? I'm just curious to know if my baby will smell like vaginal juices or what???

They asked if I wanted to hold my son right away or if I wanted him cleaned up a bit and after I saw him I asked them to clean him up some. Took maybe 2 min and I don't regret that haha I'm a germaphobe

They had wrapped my son in a blanket when they put him on me, so I didn't notice anything.

Oh ok, I thought it'd be kinda funny to smell something but of course the moment should be blissful. @arivera64

I didn't smell anything until they took her off me. The room kinda had a stinch until they got everything cleaned up but it wasn't a horrible smell. The gooey stuff on her had me a little grossed out at first but I was so excited to meet her I didn't care lol.

yes, but for most people it's not something that ends up grossing you out in the moment. It's beautiful.

They didn't let me hold my babies until they were all cleaned off / umbilical cord was cut and they were weighed and everything
