I double what @tidfrae said! Plan your meals for the week and shop for them and only buy the things you put on your list! Eat out as little as possible. Other than that sit down and figure out what your monthly expenses are and then look at how much money you have left. With that money create a budget for how much you will need for gas, food, stuff like that and if you want to allow yourself some "fun money" you can calculate how much you will allow yourself! My first paycheck goes straight to bills but I have been saving about 500 a month out of my second paycheck. It's all up to good budgeting. You can do it!!

I would wait until you have money saved up. That's what is best. As far as saving goes, we always write down our bills and deadlines, I cook most meals at home. When we were talking about getting pregnant, money was the main concern as well. We wanted to have extra money to spend on things we wanted/needed, I refused to live paycheck to paycheck.... it's not an option for me.
