I am so fucking furious with Campbell Soup company and their fucking regulations and shit! My fiancé just came home from work and told me that they're not letting him take any time off work when the baby's born because he hasn't been working with the company for at least 2 years!!! Are you fucking kidding?? He worked at that damn plant through a tempt service for 2 and a half years & they finally hired him permanently this past September. So now your saying he can't be there when his newborn child is born just because he hasn't been working for the company long enough?!? That's some complete bullshit! They told him he could have tonight off, that way he'd be home to take me to the hospital at 5:30 in the morning tomorrow, but he's gotta go back to work the same fucking night his son is born!!!! 😠😤😠😤😠 Ugggggghhhhhhhh I am one pissed off mama!!! I got half a damn mind to call that fucking plant and cuss every damn one of them bitches in "Human Resources" out! How the hell can you tell someone they can't spend time with their newborn child?!?!

@2ndchancemommy, exactly! You would think that the birth of someone's first child would be important enough to let them miss work, even if it's for a couple days at the most! But so far he's been told they're talking about it and they'll let him know by the end of the day so hopefully they'll be generous and give him some time off!

thats so wrong! my husband works at both ups and dhl. he startedd both jobs around 5 months ago. and he let them know he would need time off in november. his managers were like no are you kidding its high season in november. he goes my wifes giving birth. they immediately apoligized and told him of course he can have time off! maybe he can just take off 3-4 days. say hes sick or something. its wrong to lie i know but if i was about to miss the birth of my child i would move mountains! good luck

@miseisbebes2016, he's been calling everyone he can, his supervisors told him they would go talk to human resources for him to se if they can't persuade them to give him some time off. They know he works hard and it's not fair for them to deny him this right! Hopefully they'll get them to change their minds.

Temp service doesn't count unfortunately for FMLA, which would protect his job position. For the company to guarantee that, he'd have to have been there as a part/full time employee of Campbell for at least a year. The temp service would count towards the temp company that got him into Campbell. The law is not ideal whatsoever. I'm so sorry. He'd have to ask his boss if they could schedule him to make it work for y'all. I really hope his boss can work with him more!

@mommagotbump16, but he's been working at the plant through the temp service for 2 years! Even if he hasn't officially with the company for more than a year his past time should count towards something!! He doesn't even care if it's paid leave or not he just wants to be there with me & his son! It's so unfair! He's a very hardworking man, he never misses work unless he absolutely has to so it's just not fair at all that they won't let him have any time off at such an important time!

I'm so sorry hon. They clearly are strictly by the book there, and normally you have to be technically at a company for 1 year to qualify for FMLA time. I hope his boss works with him!
