ok so i have a question, its kinda a touchy subject and im not looking for a debate its just a ? but how many moms smoked ciggs during pregnancy and did it cause any complications ?
my sister's best friend smoked during her pregnancy (wouldn't even try to cut back) and her son was born with heart and lung defects along with a cleft lip/palate (he's 8 months and is still on oxygen). she's now pregnant with her second baby and still hasn't cut down at all, nervous her second child will end up with the same issues. p.s. the doctors have confirmed that her smoking did cause all the issues with her first child
If you mean cigarettes then if you smoked before you shouldn't just cut it out because it'll put the baby into shock and they can't handle it that little. It can cause asthma though. So it's best to slowly work your way to cutting it out. I don't smoke never have and never liked it I even avoided people smoking when I was pregnant but it's best to do what's best for the baby.
