How many times do you feed your baby, baby food? I have a 4 month old and we have been feeding her baby food for a week or so but just wondering, is it ok to feed it to her every time she eats?
Okay I thought you thought I was saying that lol I'm surprised people say that @nichole_lynn
It's considered the earliest that is okay. But recommended is 6 months. But starting at 4 months is considered okay if that's what you choose 🙂 yeah that's good! Change foods every 3 days.
ALOT of people actually say that, I was just advising her it wasn't true. @mamesey
If she gets constipated, hold off for a week and retry. It is one sign that she isnt ready. Starting foods early is your choice, but your doctor isn't up to date on the current aap recommendations. You don't have to do one food every few days unless there is a family history of allergies.
@meagansimone, @mamesey @theinkedmommy @nichole_lynn Her doctor said it was fine and normal to introduce puréed vegetables starting at 4 months, I just don't want to constipate her or make her sick and I stay on one food for 3 days and I know you all mean well but age is my choice. Thank you all tho I think I'll stay with once a day.
I started at 4 months. I did two meals breakfast and dinner of just plain ceral. I started baby foods at 6 months.
^ no ones saying the baby will get obese. It's just in between 4-6 months there is a lot of development in their stomach and it's advised to wait until 6.
at 4 Months I fed my son morning and night, formula in between and 6+ months three times a day (breakfast lunch and dinner) I always have snacks out, like the Gerber snacks and animal crackers. breastfadt was oatmeal and dinner was oatmeal mixed with veggies or meats (or both). I stopped when he wasn't hungry, don't believe the obese statements regarding feeding your child solid foods at 4 months or too early , I started my son on solids at 4 months and he is one and only weighs 23 pounds and he started at solid foods one time time a day and now he's at 3 times a day with snacks in between
@brookiemarie, I'm waiting until 6 months as well, but I know people who feed their child baby food more than once through out the day. Different foods each time. Just a tip, but when you're first introducing one, I'd just do one food at a time so you know which one it was if they have an allergic reaction
I agree. Waiting 6 months is best. And at 6 months just do one time a day. After a few weeks switch to 2 times a day
oatmeal constipates so try cereal over anything, mixed with fruits! @brookiemarie
