My daughter will be four months on the 5th. When is a good time to introduce her to some baby foods?
@brittvaughn91 mine told me the same thing... but girl, us Hispanics always start our babies early lol
@haidynsmama at first he had no clue what was going on.. I would put the spoon in his mouth and he wouldn't swallow the food.. it took a good month and a half for him to get it down. he loves it!
My youngest daughters pediatrician asked me to wait until she was 6 months as formula gives them all the nutrition they need. Starting baby food too early can also cause the baby to get constipated if you don't introduce water with it. My eldest daughters pediatrician had me start her at 4 months old, 7 years ago now. I would go with whatever your baby's pediatrician recommends.
You know your baby best. Majority of people say 6 months but I started my daughter at 4 months. What I personally saw was easier for her was more thicker soft foods. I put them in the inside of her cheek. That's just my preference and she's doing great. I agree with everyone tho to start off with veggies. One at a time so you can tell if she has any sort off allergic reaction to it
I began giving mine baby cereal in his bottle at 4 months. by 5 months I introduced puree
I heard the best is whenever they show they're ready which basically they can sit up on their own and they don't immediately push everything out of their mouth with their tongue. Overall it's still parents choice.
I started my daughter on veggies (corrots) until I had her try every veggie I wanted her to have. Then I slowly introduced fruit. If you start with fruit you have a chance that your child won't like veggies because it wants that sweet flavor. @haidynsmama
@babynessa, ok thank you. Can I ask what exactly you started with. Fruits or vegetable??
I started at 4 months with the ok of my daughters pediatrician.
@haidynsmama LOL 👍👍👍👍
