I'm gonna post a picture of my daughters bottom in the comments I've never really seen a chemical burn or anything but I'm not sure if she has a chemical burn or a diaper rash, it started to produce when I started using size 1 pampers on her. And I don't want it to get any worse. It doesn't do it with the newborn pampers.
Thanks guys! @bryaxtonsmommy @rennysmommy that's exactly what I'll be doing!
Once she moves up I would just try a different brand of diapers. Trial and error pretty much, my mom ended up having to use cloth diapers because I was allergic to every disposable diaper she tried, thankfully for Axton he has just always used Pampers. Good luck momma!
@jnanzer94, yeah look and see which ones are better for sensitive skin, you may just have to try out different kinds and see what works best
She only cries when I wipe her now if I don't use the sensitive wipes since those are soft, but yes I've used cream and baby powder and put her back into the newborn diapers and it slowly clears up. But other than that she doesn't act like it bothers her. @mommy_faith and I've given her a bath to help soothe it :) @bryaxtonsmommy
It definitely doesn't look like a normal diaper rash. I would call her pediatrician and in the meantime try an oatmeal bath. They make an oatmeal bubble bath soap for babies and it will help soothe it for her!
I use pampers as well and that's never happened with my boys but some babies are more sensitive! Have you put any cream on it? Is she acting like it hurts her?
No:/ I've been using pampers since she was born because that's all the hospital used and that's all everyone recommended @mommy_faith
@tennysmommy, when I was looking stuff up people just talked about switching diaper brands which I'm going to do
I've read how the chemicals are different in the size 1 and up diapers if you look up about pampers people complain about size 1 and up there's nothing about the newborns. And I've used multiple different wipes on her and the only ones that aren't rough on her are the sensitive ones. @127lovie @rennysmommy it literally did not start to happen until I put her in the size one diapers. Before that we've never had a problem.
She was saying that she's good with the wipes.. The wipes are not the problem. Obviously her rash isn't good. You misunderstood @127lovie Did you use a different brand of diapers than normal?
@jnanzer94, I would say it's from the diaper, not diaper rash. I don't know what you do for that though I would call and ask her doctor
@jnanzer94, I don't think a diaper size would make a difference and it don't look like she's good. But ok.
I use the sensitive wipes Bc the other ones are rough on her butt @127lovie
She's good with the pampers sensitive wipes and it goes down with newborn but I grabbed the wrong diapers last night so she used size 1 throughout the night @rennysmommy @127lovie
I would switch to water wipes. That's what my sons butt looked like. We switched wipes and immediately noticed a difference.
If it showed up like that I would say not diaper rash because diaper rash starts small and gets progressively worse it usually wouldn't just blow up over night like that
Thanks guys! @bryaxtonsmommy @rennysmommy that's exactly what I'll be doing!
