Think my milk is starting to dry up. My son breast feed 4 times in 2 hours. ( not usual) Had to give formula. And haven't had my boobs full of milk or had to pump since early yesterday afternoon. :( what do i do?

Drink mothers milk tea and take fenugreek pills. & pump more during the day.

everything you said is actually normal. baby is feeding that much because he is going through a growth spurt. it happens a lot during the next few months. it tells your body how much milk to make for baby to grow. the feeling of being full goes away once your milk regulates. just because you don't feel full doesn't mean you aren't making enough. also pumping is not an indication of how much milk you are producing. only baby's wet diapers can tell you if baby is getting what he needs. oh & no matter if baby is full or not all babies will drink from a bottle if it is offered to them so saying baby drank the whole body after you breastfed doesn't mean the baby was still hungry.

@verobaby, i gave him a bottle because he was unlatching like he wasn't getting anything each time and I was switching breasts. And i could tell he was really hungry. That's why I offered the bottle

during growth spurts babies will feed constantly & act like they are starving. or he could be using you like a pacifier. but looking at your page & seeing he is 2 weeks old that is when babies goes through growth spurts. my advice is to keep bf him. when you substitute a bottle that tells your body you don't need that milk so it does make your supply decrease a bit. the first few months are super hard & will feel like you aren't producing enough but trust your body is made for this. count his diapers as long as he is getting enough wet ones you are producing exactly what he needs.

@verobaby, is exactly right on with what I was going to say. The first few weeks your baby will pretty much be attached to you and the more he is the better because his little mouth will tell you body how much milk to make. Babies are born with a stomach the size of an almond and although its size has grown a bit since birth he doesn't need but a few ounces. You got this! It's huge commitment but it gets better after the first few weeks.
