dont know why i am so bothered that none of my family and most of my friends dont like the name my fiance and i have finally agreed we both like. i know it doesnt matter if they like it or not and we havent fully decided his name until we see him but i guess i was hoping everyone liked it as much as we did

My family doesn't like the name I picked either lol it's not their baby so I'm not too worried about it
That's why my parents never told the names to anyone until baby was born. Me and my husband will follow their lead. Then they can't judge really judge you cause it's official ✌🏼️
yeah it sucks when people around you dont like it as much as you do and what makes it even worse is my cousin is pregnant as well and her baby name came up with mine and everyone loved hers and talked about how awesome it was @mrsschmalz

Atleast you and your SO love it. No one but me and my SO knows our daughters name, not anyone. Everyone will find out at the hospital because I was so worried about people's opinions. If you love it that's all that matters!
we liked the name ryu(roo) its Japanese and all my friends seem to be having a fit over the fact that he is full american with a Japanese name @mrsschmalz
Most important is that you like it and your partner likes it.
If it makes you feel any better my family absolutely hated the name they picked out for my older sister. But my parents named her that anyway and now no one can picture her being anything other than Molly! They all came around. Your family will love that baby and I'm sure they will warm up to the name!
