please help !! My son is 4 days old, I was breastfeeding at the hospital. The last day at the hospital, he went 24 hours without peeing and my nipples were very sore. I gave him a bottle and now I regret it! Today at 8 am I gave him another bottle, then at 12pm he was breastfed he did fine. At 3 I tried to breastfeed him again and he wouldn't latch. He wouldn't stop crying, after an hour of trying to latch him I gave him a bottle and he was fine. My boobs are starting to hurt and I want to ebf. Can I go back to it?

With my son I was supplementing with bottle because I didn't think he was getting enough breast milk and he ended up choosing the bottle , if you want to ebf I wouldn't give anymore bottles at least until 6 weeks
keep trying and if he won't latch make sure you pump every 2 hours so your supply doesn't go down

When your newborn decided that he no longer wishes to be breastfed hours after leaving the hospital 😑😑 scared the hell out of me because he refused to stay latched.. come to find out, I wasn’t making food for him fast enough to please his appetite so I had to make him a formula bottle..... he killed 1 oz before I could make sure he knew how a bottle worked 😑 only 3 days old but has the appetite of a grown man

At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.
Look into a breastfeeding supplement kit if you are worried about your supply. If you really want to exclusively breastfeed, I wouldn't offer a bottle anymore. Make sure you try feeding at the very first signs of hunger (rooting, moving hands, nipple diving). If you wait until he is really hungry (crying) then it will be a lot harder to calm him down and get him to latch.
