So I know the hospital will give me plenty of maxi pads, but wondering if maybe I should take my own?? I bought the overnight flex foam ones because the huge maxi pads just look like they would be ridiculously painful..

Flex foam? What are those haha I wanna see they sound way better than maxi pads. I think I'm gonna get some depends too, I've heard they're way more comfortable and easier to deal with than a pad
mesh panties are the best for c-section mommy's but I remember running through the pads really fast so this time I packed extra
Also buy some witch hazel pads!!!! I wouldn't worry about taking any pads there but I would take witch hazel pads to put in the pad. Helps your lady bits after delivery especially if you tear.

@10yearslater0205, I know most hospitals still do mesh panties, my hospital doesn't though.. I was pretty excited about them too ha!

I loved the maxi pads and mesh panties ... They do use them still I actually just had a TAC placement in December and they gave me them to wear 😍

The ones they use for the hospital are like diapers and they give you a mesh panty to hold them on. It's not like maxis you buy in the store. Jsyk
Cried over maxi pads!!!!
I had a panic attack and cried at Target on Sunday... While trying to by maxi pads for after I give birth!! I have never bought pads in my life and I started crying in the isle because I was so overwhelmed by all the options and so pissed that they didn't have an assorted pack like tampons!! Ugh! I still don't know if I bought the right kind!! :-(
So I bought dermaplast, tucks pads, maxi overnight pads and hi cut/brief panties. Do I need anything else to make PP a lil more comfortable???
I'm gonna be so uncomfortable with having to use pads after giving birth. I absolutely hate pads. I haven't used them since I was about 15. 😖
After birth, do you suggest depends underwear or heavy duty pads? When I had my first the hospital provided me with some big pads & comfortable soft underwear but I want some for when we are back home & im debating which to go for this time, if I should try the depends or just get heavy duty pads.
@emkasting, Always makes them, I super reccomend them! Those huge thick pads HURT when your bits are all swollen.
@littlemissrainesmommy my hospital gave me a perri\water bottle (so when you pee it doesn't burn), pads, flushable scentless wipes, a spray anesthetic (benzocaine, I think you can get it at most pharmacies), and Tuck's witchhazel hemmoroid pads (they were awesome!). Water, dab w\ wipes, spray anesthic, "tuck" witch hazel along your bits, pad, mesh panties, in that order. I feel like I recovered super fast thanks to that, and I had an episiotomy!
