How come the state will only help you if you leave the father of your children... just for maternity leave! that's pathetic. you think they would encourage families to stay together and they would help mothers while they're home bonding with their new born. But these lazy ass "disabled" and people who collect social security get help no questions asked. Along with drugged up mothers who don't even use state money for their kids.

I understand where you are coming from but not all disabled are lazy my husband has cancer so technically speaking at the moment he is disabled. I will be working probably up to delivery and returning early because our state doesn't help much he is still going to try to work 2 days a week through chemo though. I do agree that our government should help with paid maternity leave especially for those of us who work for small businesses that don't get paid time off.
America dosn't require employers to give maternity leave. it's bs, some states nay have there owl laws but for the most part we are screwed
