Does anyone have any stories or advice for a woman trying to conceive, who has PCOS?
I have PCOS with insulin resistance and take metformin. I also have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, so losing weight is so hard for me. My husband and I have been TTC for 2.5 years so far. We will be starting Clomid next cycle (if AF decides to show) and our first round of IUI when I successfully ovulate with the medication. The hardest part is coping with the disappointment every month and seeing so many happy mamas out there. But I know someday, somehow, I will become a mother. Good luck to you!
okay, that'll be the best thing but I know PCOS is normally causes by having to many of a certain hormone like testosterone or being insulin resistant. If that's the case Metformin helps alot that's what got me pregnant. It'll also depend on follicles on your ovaries and things like that. The easier thing to fix is if it is caused by weight the. of course you just have to lose it😩 so easier said than done in most cases but dont lose hope is my biggest advice:)
@hermommy, not yet, I have another appointment next month for further information though.
I haven't. My doctor has just had me taking metformin and prenatals.
