SHE'S HERE!!!!! My brand new baby girl! She's a miracle❤️ Happy birthday to me❤️
Madilyn Rose Fern was born April 20th, 2016, weighed 8lbs 5ozs, and measured 20.5 inches long❤️
I was in induced labor for 26 hours, having contractions 1-4 minutes apart the entire time, had my epidural once I was 4cm only because I didn't want to miss my window for it to work before I had to start pushing otherwise I would've kept going without it. Before I was 7cm dilated they had to give me a boost (not sure what it's called) for my epidural, then they gave me one again before they took me in for an emergency c-section since my baby girl was under stress from my contractions and they kept losing her on the monitor, I had two different types on monitors put inside of my uterus to monitor both her and how strong my contractions were. Once we were in the operating room, I could still feel what they were doing. I was almost screaming by the end of it (I was trying my hardest not to) because of all the pain I was in, and that was after the anesthesiologist had given me an additional 6-7 pain killer shots through my IV on top of my epidural and all within a 40 minute time span.
My poor baby had had her cord wrapped around her neck twice, and was purple for 5 minutes after she was born but she was able to cry and she is healthy and happy thank god.
So I had a rough L&D but I would do it all over again. And I plan to.
Oh, AND I JUST GOT ENGAGED YESTERDAY AND TODAY IS MY 21st birthday!!!!!!

Thank you❤️ I wanted her to have my last name because it's a lot cuter, Madilyn Rose Fern Christy, but I wanted her to have her dad's last name because we're getting married in the fall.

Yeah we call our baby girl Madi too haha. But that's cute!! Our daughter is named after her great grandma too! She has her middle name, Fern. Madilyn Rose Fern Sleeman❤️ @michellevaldez4750
@madi-girlsmama, my great grandmothers name was Madilyn and my cousin's named after her also Madilyn. it's one of my favorite girl names. so classy and pretty. we call my cousin "Maddy" which I always thought was a cute nickname too :)

@lil_bigmama, I was already dilated, so I felt them putting them in but it didn't hurt, it was a little uncomfortable though and after they put the monitor in to monitor how hard my contractions were is when I started feeling cramping on my right side but I wasn't sure why. They said it was because the epidural could be patchy. (I had the epidural done first I think)

congratulations mommy!!! your story is exactly what happen to me like to the tee! even the epidural wearing off and the cord being wrapped twice the only difference is i was in the hospital in induced labor at 35 weeks for 5 days made it to 8 cm and then my cervix just started to close back up and baby was under stress so they had to pull me in for an emergency c-section
