What are some natural ways to get labor to begin, besides walking?? I cant exactly walk around…

nipple stimulation. you stimulate one nipple at a time for 5 min each hour. make sure it's the whole nipple Areola and all. do it for a few hours and see if it helps..

Why so early? You're only 35 weeks?

however I wouldn't be trying any of this till your past 37 weeks though. it's highly dangerous to cause labor to begin too early. your baby could die...

@ashalay88, my doctors consider you full term at 36 weeks and I'm being induced then if I make it to 36 since I'm already 3cm and 50%

@aphrodite2014, I Dont want to start problems but why would you say her baby would die if she starts labor early she's 35 weeks I had my daughter at 32 weeks and she survived ...

@motheroftwojk, I'm surprised, some babies lungs aren't even fully mature until 37/38 weeks. Crazy.

@ashalay88, iv been given the shots to mature his lungs even with my daughter who was born at 32 weeks only needed oxygen for 2 days and it was only barely helping her she was basically doing it on her own

Why would you give her ideas to induce labor and then tell her that? I don't think that was necessary @aphrodite2014

Idk what Dr in the US would consider 36 weeks full term, but if you say so. Yes, if you're in preterm labor you're going to get shots. I was just pointing out that most babies lungs, not receiving steroids, sometimes aren't fully developed at that stage. My sister was 37.1 and was in the NICU for two weeks because hers weren't ready. Just because your baby was fine, doesn't mean everyone else's will be.

@lilfree16, not in my case with my doctors , its full term even my 32 weeker spent 4 weeks in nicu and went home basically at 36 weeks completely healthy and being that I'm 3cm now at 26 weeks there only making me go 10 more weeks if I can make it

@ashalay88, my friend just had twins at 36+4 weeks and neither had to receive oxygen and she didn't get the shot

@motheroftwojk, all babies are different, that's all I'm saying. Jeeze. NOT ALL BABIES BORN EARLY NEED OXYGEN BUT SOME DO. Is that better? Why people would want to risk it is beyond me. When you got pregnant you knew it was 40 weeks, women up and deal with it! Good grief.

@vb95, I didn't look at how many weeks she was until after I made the first post. it was very nessiscary to tell her what I did after the fact, because it is dangerous to induce labor early when it's not medically nessiscary

@motheroftwojk, I'm not trying to start anything but regardless there is always a chance of death. even at 32 weeks and even at 37 weeks.. babies aren't ready for labor, and to induce I labor could cause issues baby could not tolerate labor, or any number of complications COULD happen

None of y'all know the situation. If her doctor says the baby is safe to come, then you shouldn't bash her. Her baby, her body, her choice. For all y'all know it could be dangerous for her to go full term. No need to jump on her case like that. If you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. It's unneeded. @ashalay88, @aphrodite2014 yes i understand pregnancy is 40 weeks but guess what some women can't woman up and deal with it , I love my children and I love the fact of being pregnant , I would love to be able to even work while pregnant , take a walk with my daughter . to be able to even pick up my daughter but guess what my body just cannot handle it all I'm saying is everyone's body is different everyone's child has a different out come some people make it to "term" some people can't make it even past 28 weeks , you can't judge anyone's decision on what they do or why they can't go to "full term" and your surly can't state "facts from the internet on full term" because what's full term to you may not and probably isn't full term to anyone else. again I'm not saying this to start any problems you just Dont know her situation just like you didn't know mines but judged it anyway. @motheroftwojk, that's not someone just looking up made up facts on the Internet. Those are legitimate guidelines set by the association for OB/GYNs. Maybe because of your history your OB will be happy to get you to 36 weeks, but that does not mean that is term. Term is not an arbitrary deadline -it's been determined after doctors have observed thousands of babies at birth. 36 weeks is still preterm for one baby. 36 weeks for twins is a completely different story-that's closer to what is considered term for twins.

@keepingupwithestella, this is true, but not every doctor is a good doctor. If someone doesn't know something, there's no harm in informing them.

They said I was good at 36 weeks. My baby looks good, and hes in place.

The main reason Im going to be starting early and like I said my baby is fine, Ive made sure to have him checked out, I have a slightly smaller rib cage than some, and my waist is usually small to begin with. He is running out of room a little quicker.

I cant keep him in as ling as all of you should be able too. They said hea developed fine, and Im ready to go at 37 weeks. Also I was born myself at 32 weeks fully developed.

Keep that baby in there as long as you can he will come when he's ready he knows when he needs to come out trust me when I say they day will be here before you know it😉good luck!
