Feeling awful. Received a call from the screening midwife where she gave me a bad news : I tested as high risk for that Quadruple test. I'm so lost and shattered. After 3 miscarriages, now that I am 15 weeks pregnant, I'm told by baby is going to be affected with Down Syndrome? I can't believe it. I'm very sad! 😭😭😭
Thank you ladies for the nice and reassuring comments. I really appreciate it. You ladies are the best! 😙
@winterbaby95, ya, that's why I'm still contemplating whether or not I should do amniocentesis since there's still a risk of miscarriage. If it turns out the baby is fine and I chose to have amniocentesis and then I lose it.. it's equal to murdering my own child. I don't want to lose the baby nor I'm ready to lose another. xx
@jod1303, I should have known about that. tests are really making people nervous, sometimes for the wrong reason.. xx
this is why i refused the tests they arent always accurate also whether a child is down syndrome or not in my opinion wouldnt make a difference a childs a huge blessing you wont love or care for it in any different way x
My mum was high risk with my sister...she has amniocentisis. My sister did not have downs. Don't feel upset hun...You are pregnant with a beautiful blessing :) Yeah..having a downs child may be more challenging...but it isn't the end of the world :) You still have a healthy baby in there :) I wouldn't have any further testing done though..because my mums friend had amnio on two separate occassions..and she lost both of the babies.. I wouldn't risk it at all xxx
My friend's daughter had a high risk and she is absolutely perfect girl. Those tests do not confirm anything 100%. A child is a wonderful miracle and we are blessed to have them in our lives. Sending a big hug to you, everything will be ok xx
If it helps my mum got told she was high risk with my Brother and said there was a high chance of down - syndrome and it turned out he wasn't. All was perfectly fine. But like the ladies above said they have to tell you regardless of the risks. Do try not to worry. You'll love that baby no matter what xxx
Like I said @mioaurellia they got it wrong with my friends little baby, maybe they just had to give you the worse case scenario just in case, I dunno fingers crossed everything's gonna be okay! It's a likkle miracle no matter what anyway!! Xxxx
@babyno2, thank you so much. I'm not thinking of terminating whatever happens, that's one thing I know. I'll talk with the midwife again tomorrow to ask about my odds. xx
@lauren1996, thank you babe. Your support really means a lot to me at this moment. and having you ladies here reassuring me is the best thing I hear today. Fingers crossed for me and the baby. xx
it's not definite high risk just means you have more chance than low risk but it honestly means nothing untill your baby is born... no matter what when u see your baby you will have so much love!! most of these tests aren't accurate all the time anyway... I don't have no screening done because it's not worth the worry when it might not happen... think positive hun it will work out whatever happens xxxx
Just think positive, I know it's very hard to but you've got us lot hun, sending you loads of love!!❤️❤️❤️ @mioaurellia xxxx
Oh @lauren1996, I feel devastated at this moment... I just hope that the blood test came back positive because some chemicals in my blood was higher and that the baby is fine. xx
@angie87, I've actually bombarded the midwife with questions but I will repeat the questions again just in case. Thanks hun xx
My friend, got a high risk and she didn't have any further tests done cause she thought she'd love the baby no matter what, and the baby turned out with out Down syndrome so I dunno, @mioaurellia xxx
1 in 4 still gives you a good chance. Maybe think of some questions to ask before you next speak to someone. I always forget what I wanted to ask. Xx
@angie87, she did say generally 1 in 4 women. she didn't state for myself.. so I'm still clueless. She told me some chemicals in my blood seemed high so they are concerned. xx
@angie87, I'll ring the screening midwife tomorrow.. knowing the risk of miscarriage I might want to do an amniocentesis as the risk of miscarriage is 1 in 100. Thank you xx
Try not to worry too much there's still a really good chance your baby will be perfectly healthy and as you say you'll love the child regardless. Must be stressful to hear that so make sure you speak to someone tomorrow and get all the info you need xx
I know it's hard not knowing hun, believe me but no matter what that baby is a beautiful miracle😊💜 xx
@tuftyturtle, I know it's not hun, but having to hear the bad news that I'm a high risk makes me even more worried.
@zaralee71, she did mention that something in me that was high in the blood test. that's why they are now trying to get me tested further if the baby is in fact high risk. I seriously don't know what to think now. I'm devastated but I know I will love the child regardless.
@stacey804, I'm so numb right now, thinking back to those heartache I had because of 3 miscarriages and now she rang me and told me I'm high risk. she did mention something like 1 in 4 will have down. I tried ringing back but now they are closed. I'll try again tomorrow. and I'm so scared of the invasive diagnostic gest because I may miscarry, knowing I've miscarried 3 times, I don't think I want to risk that.
try not to worry too much hun, some people are told they are high risk and the baby doesn't and some people are told they are low risk and the baby does. These tests aren't very accurate at all x
I got a letter and my consultant also told me. Ring back and ask for more information. She really shouldn't have rang and left you worried like that. Xx
She didn't say the odds though... maybe I should call back and ask. xx Thank you @stacey804 and @staceyg2404
I wouldn't get yourself upset, she has to give you the odds and if they are high they offer you the amniocentesis? Did she say anything about that? Even after doing tests they can only give you a percentage of chance it's very rare they can actually tell you ya or no. Even women who get told everything is fine can have a disabled child, they don't actually know what's fully going on in there until the baby arrives xx
Did she give you any odds? Like a 1 in how ever many chance? xx
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!

So I scheduled my appointment for Thursday when my insurance is active! I'm just wondering if I should pay out of pocket to get a blood test done at this point 😩.
I hadn't been testing with fmu, so I just thought.. Let me test with my $1 test with fmu and see what happens (I've been testing with frer only - 1st Pic is the last one I took on Sat) and I got a faint line I think.. I've been getting negative with frer.
🤔
I feel like I'm going to drive myself crazy testing because I have to wait f...

Wow! I'm glad that I did test again today! I don't think I even ovulated still? 🤔😫
I'm so confused lol it's cd19 for me

I keep looking at this test and this really faint line and I'm driving myself crazy. I have got to buy a test today and test tomorrow morning.

I'm pretty sure this is negative but does these test always give off a vvvf line like that!? I'm 10dpo just took the test at 7pm..
Sorry to hear this. Hope everything is turn out to be fine.
