Did anyone here give birth in Portland hospital ? What's your experience ?
@tuftyturtle, thank you why would I wanna stay in hospital extra longer just to have nice food when I can go home relax and order a curry that doesn't cost me £1000 😂😂
The food 😂 @idilosman. I also don't know many people that are bothered about fine dining after giving birth. I would rather go home and order a takeaway snuggled on my own sofa!
@nicolexvx, @tuftyturtle, I have to agree with you on that one never would I pay that even if I won the lottery I would rather give that money to charity or saving for my children's future, like you Said at the end of the day a midwife is a midwife and a bed is a bed what's nice food and nice flowers going to do for me if I have my baby healthy and safe the baby should be the reward but I guess everyone has different opinions x
I found it crazy... If I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd still rather give birth in my own home
I don't think it's worth the money. I personally think there's something wrong with someone who is happy for their baby to leave their side after birth so the nursery is an un necessary feature. If you care about the time to sit and do your makeup and hair and look perfect after giving birth then you've got your priorities wrong from the start. It's just a waste of money. even the staff were basically saying...a bed is a bed. A midwife is a midwife, c section is the same procedure any where and pain relief works the same anywhere. I think the whole thing is insane and I like life's luxuries lol
@sweetsesame, yes it's very expensive indeed , just hope that it's worth spending that much money )
@anna080, @tiasohi1 from watching the program each birthing experience is tailored to mums needs/request. The mum from Brazil chose to have baby with her after giving birth whereas others only saw baby for feeding etc. If I had the money, I would definitely give birth there x
@tiasohi1, oh no it's so sad ( i hope she will regain that bond soon , to be honest I think it's more of a personal issue rather then hospital , but still thanks for your feedback )))I do appreciate it ))
@mich77, I'm already registered with them , and watched that documentary 2 days ago , loved it ! So excited !
My sister in law did . Spend £16k and she was treated like a princess .... But my personal opinion the lack of bond she now has with my niece is due to her giving birth there x
My partner and parents offered I have my kids there - I couldn't think of anything worse if I'm honest . After having two kids all I wanted to do both times was to go home ASAP! And the first time my Bubs has to be in NICU , so Portland would of been a total waste x
