My husband doesn't want a baby shower..... he said if we can't afford to buy our own stuff and have people come and buy…

If it's something that you really want then you should tell him . It's not about the gifts , it's about a celebration of a blessing @babytj0214

Awe that's so silly... just because you have a baby shower doesn't mean you can't afford to take care of baby yourself.... if anything it kinda shows you can because baby showers aren't free 😂

@ms.jones, @babymay2016 well he is a guy and guys thinks differently and he is actually not like other guys that's y I married him lol.... I did tell him it is definitely not about the gifts.... I want to celebrate our baby. it's my last one cuz he doesn't want anymore and I was blessed to have 2 kids and I want with more but he said no more..... all the reason to have a party !!!!

you could always have someone plan it for you and make it a girls only, that would be fun and u can't really control someone else doing it lol

@supermom1104, but isn't that asking someone else to do it? people do your showers..... you don't ask them.... right... my mom isn't into baby showers.... my Co workers did throw me a shower for 1st one and I was very grateful

I don't believe I am having one either but would love to as a welcome to our baby...celebration of a blessing as Ms.Jones stated. you can make a party and say no gifts allowed or set up a charity account where they can give but instead donate to the less fortunate on behalf of baby

yea u can ask someone to help you do it, sister, friend, I had my sister help me with mine but didn't end up having one :(

I really think mine has lost his head no diapers or wipes or anything else 4 that matter & it's our 1st boy & last child I don't work I stay home with our daughter he hasn't even offered any money to help me get anything it hurts a lot bc they just updated my due date a week today so look on the up side at least ur man's heart is in the right place sometimes

it'll be 2 options ...if guest insist suggest they can donate to charity otherwise its a party to celebrate the blessing of your baby by gathering :) and sharing your food ect to them in return of their blessing wish we'll wishes etc. @babytj0214

first of babies showers are about mom not dad you can have one if you want he needs to understand that's a joyous event for you as well hope you can make him comply if not I'd have one anyway

I personally think you should only have one for your first baby.. You could always have a party to celebrate the birth tho!
