my poor boy can't catch a fucking break. All winter we were on and off with tonsillitis, strep, and allergic reactions. Allergy panels have come back negative for everything so we believe my poor boy is "allergic" to cold weather. He's been on several rounds of antibiotics for the strep and such and then today poor baby wakes up running a 102 fever, with swollen lmyph nodes. Get him in with the doctor, run a strep test just to be told its likely a virus and to just alternate between tylenol and ibuprofen. Fever won't drop and he refuses to eat more than a few bites of anything. But doctor gave him permission to eat all the popsicles and ice cream he wants! I just hope he feels better tomorrow :(

My daughter had strep 5 times this winter. One more case before summer & they want to take her tonsils out. I feel your pain! Hope your baby feels better soon!

we've got maybe another 2-3 times of strep or tonsillitis and tonsils will be gone. it's tough, i swear my kid is always sick, but hes a little trooper. and thank you so much! i hope he does too, he's done literally nothing, can barely take his own shoes off today. @harranmommy

Trigger. Our precious boy

Trigger. Our precious boy Last night, December 8th, 2015, at 9:58pm, our sweet precious baby boy was born sleeping. We spent 5 wonderful hours with him: holding him, talking to him, singing to him, mourning him, praying for him, and weeping over him.

At What Age Should a Child Make Their Own Breakfast?

Make your own breakfast! At what age do you think a child should be making their own breakfast? I have a 10 year old and I think he is perfectly capable of making himself breakfast. It doesn't take rocket science to put some waffles into the toaster, or microwave some pancakes. My husband insists that he needs to have breakfast made for him because if we left it up to him he wouldn't eat enough and it would take him forever.

My son is 14 months tomorrow and we can hardly get him to eat solid foods on his own. We want to wean him off formula by 18 months and have been trying to get him to snack on small finger foods and he mainly just plays with it or throws it off his tray. Sometimes he will eat it if we give it to him but most of the time he shakes his head no. Any ideas or tips on how to get him more interested in eating? He will eat yogurt bites and cherrios on his own but that's about it.
