So I had and appointment with an ENT the other day for my son and I ended up crying in the office, I couldn't hold it in and was just got really overwhelmed and upset.
The ENT the pediatrician referred us to did the same as the pediatrician and checked him out and visually he LOOKS fine, but they fail to check him for POSTERIOR tongue tie and seem to only be familiar with anterior tongue ties, which is so frustrating! He had no clue what I was referring to...
We're now being referred to an ENT works with kids through the ENT we just saw.
Shouldn't an ENT be up to date with things like this?
So far it's just extremely frustrating and upsetting that the pediatrician and this ENT are passing us around like this. I've received more help from my local WIC breastfeeding specialist! She's the one that examined him THOROUGHLY, made the observation, and noted his strange eating behaviors and recommended I mention it to my pediatrician.
