what do you do/say to your mother that has an eating disorder and shes underweight but thinks shes fat? shes kinda suicidal about it too and anything you say doesn't effect her its like she doesnt believe you. prayers for my mom too plz she developed lupus years ago but has been recently correctly diagnosed. thanks.

An eating disorder is also a mental disorder. There's nothing you can say about her looks that'll change the way she feels and sees herself. But you can remind her that you're there for her and care so much about her. She should get some counseling. There's help out there and if she's suicidal it sounds like she needs professional support. Maybe bring this up in a constructive way. Let her know you care and want to understand what she's going thru. Good luck babe

That's gotta be so hard on you to see her going thru this. There's only so much you can do to help but just try to listen to her and let her know you love her no matter what.

@haileybuttons, i know shes really sad my brother disowned her and im all she has left and we are all she has ever lived for, its pretty bad but thank you for your help
