@dja, your welcome, and remember if u try diffrent rewards and it still isn't working well, don't get frustrated and give up, just step back and give it alittle time then try it again. I had to with my son, I found my self getting frustrated about him not wanting to use the potty and asking for pull ups, I just stopped and let it go for a few weeks. then I told him no more pull ups and let him pick out big boy underwear and tolled him he is a big boy like daddy and that if he pottied in his underwear he would be wet and he wouldn't like it. and that if he pooped in the potty we could go to the dollar store and he could pick out any toy he wanted, and that's all it took! also ask her every morning do u got to go potty so we can have a peice of candy or what ever reward u are doing. and if shes tries always praise her even if she tried. but dont give reward if she doesn't go. then when she goes, reward and lots a praise again. good luck girl.
@bugmama, I really want to start early when she starts walking and has a bit of sense to understand what I'm saying. I just thought I would get looked at weird 😂
We started at 14 months with my son he finally was ready ready and did it on his own starting his 3rd birthday.
I'm gonna start training my daughter at about 1 1/2 years old
@smiles2, they are cute rewards lol. And that's true to it depends on the kid. I'll try this first and see how well she does when she gets around 1. 😊
@dja, those are cute rewards. it depends on what works best for your kid. my son got a piece of candy of his choice for peeing, and a dollar store toy when he pooped.
My mom always told me when he/she can tell you they need to pee or go poop. So around 1-3.
1 1/2 yrs old. he was trained by 2 1/2 yrs old
Nope we had a little kids potty as of him being 14 month he loved to sit on it and would occasionally pee on it but the he gave up then a little over 2 we tried again with sticker charts and prizes etc. He still would go back and forth. Then his third birthday came around and he was done he started using it by himself and that was the end of it.
