if they complain about smell..use silicone or organic ones. they won't stink and gauges are awesome.

It's up to you. I took mine out because they were stinky if I didn't clean them every single day 2x a day and hubby and family hated them

I have glass in right now and I clean them every day so I really don't know why he's complaining about them now.... I guess it just bothers me that he's never noticed them before now that he has he wants them out, the only reason I'm considering it is because of the baby.

I wear wood and they don't ever smell. I have a strict "don't tell me what to do with my appreance" policy. An ex of mine made me wear my hair solid bleach blonde and then he made me have moles removed. Then I had to take my piercings out. Then he wanted me to get laser tattoo removal. It's a slippery slope. My husband never says anything about my appearance unless I ask. I would start bugging your SO about an aspect of his appearence and see how he likes it.

And the baby isn't going to pull them out and choke on them. Even if that was a legitamite concern, your stretch is small enough you could wear single flare with a nice tight back on it. They ain't going no where!

I don't see what the baby has to do with anything. It's your body. So you have the right to do to it whatever you want. He has the right to leave you because of it if he wants. He can make a request as he has but if you choose not to grant it then that's your right, without shame or blame. If they bother him that much then he needs to create boundaries around them. Like: I can't sleep in the same bed as you, I refuse to hug you, or even (in the extremes) if you touch them I don't want you to touch me until you've washed your hands, etc.

Otherwise, do what you find acceptable to you.
