I think in KY you can apply online, but I'm not 100% on that.

easier if you go online. print off a form. fill it out and send in all your paperwork. they'll mail you back with a time and day that they'll call you. don't miss the phone call. they'll ask you all the same information you already mailed in. tell you what you qualify for. after that you'll need to go to the foodstamp office to pick up a card with your case number. I don't use food stamps anymore. but doing it through the mail and over the phone, is way more easier then having to wait all day for 2-3 days at the foodstamp office in a line.
