Any advice on a natural birth? I don't want to get an epidural and water birth isn't an option
@babyray2016, I just roughed it out. I was actually home alone for 2 hours with contreactions every 3 minutes apart. I knew it was time so I was cleaning the house back up and making sure our bags and stuff were ready and called someone to come get me
@ljmommy. Idk how they do at your hospital, but my midwife got me a delivery room with a jacoozi tub in it to labor in, that really helped even though I didn't get to stay in long because they broke my water after I was in there for about 15 minutes and discovered my baby had a bowel movement. but you should see if that's available
@dannywalston0205, yeah I'm just trying to breathe through it and know it's temporary
practice keeping yourself very related and calm. And don't let no one bug you. Have something to do talk on the phone play a game listen to some music and whatever you can think of, and you'll be fine. I had all 9 of mine without meds.
@babyray2016, I wanted to have a natural birth, in the back of my head I really didn't know if I could handle it. but, I stayed at home for most of my labor. when I got to the hospital I was 5 cm. when I got to my delivery room I was a 7 .and I progressed really quickly. the main thing,is to believe in yourself. I completely tuned out everyone else in the room and focused on my body and each contraction. just remember each 30 seconds of pain is closer to seeing ur beautiful baby. if you can get through the contractions..pushing is,not bad at all
i don't want a epidural at all I know I'm strong but don't know how to be during contractions.@dannywalston0205,
the main thing that helped me while giving natural birth to my baby 4 weeks ago, with every contraction I told myself " the pain only last 30 seconds and you get a minute or two of calm"
also it truley isn't as bad as you would think. also if you find urself tensing up...relax ur whole body and it eases the pain
@ljmommy, oh! I also wanted to do water birth but it isn't an option for me down here in Carrollton. :( The closest place with that option is ATL.
