@mamabearto2cubs, it does really depend on the intake (edibles are best) but in my belief, moderation is key. but it still is a risk because every pregnancy is different.
I just want to say I never wanted to toke soooo baadd in my liiiife omg idek if I still want to breastfeed because the withdrawal is so real lol but I got this 4 months strong just another 5 or so more .. 😢😢
I smoked with my son he is perfectly healthy and very smart he has no delays he actually is ahead on things such as how.many words he can speak and he learned to walk in a day when he was ready. my ob said he wouldn't put on my paper work I popped positive but I had to be clean when I gave birth which me and my son was and he was cool about it cause weed helped me eat but he couldn't condone it cause its illegal where I live. there is no proof it harms the baby or helps the baby but I know alot of friends who smoked and their kids are super smart my mom.smoked with me everyday for the 9 months and I was advanced baby and I'm perfectly fine
as @yayajahmama said it depends what you smoke out of. I definitely wouldnt recommend joints or blunts. vapor is best since it's not burning the leaf and butane isn't ideal either. I used a glass p hitter or bowl because metal isn't good either. just my 2 cents though!
And in all honesty I haven't admitted this on this app yet but I litteraly just quit 2 weeks ago. I was doing it for morning sickness at first and it helped me eat and not throw up. I lost 20 pounds at first. as for second hand smoke that's a good question. if I had to guess I'd say it may be about like cigarettes where it's still not ideal but I wouldn't think it'd be near as bad considering alot of people smoke during. I'm no doctor obviously and someone will probably correct me but I would say it's probably fine and in my opinion better than 2nd hand cig smoke. @mommytoavery
I had a friend who smoked up until 3 weeks before she had baby. She tested positive just 3 weeks earlier and was told she could be in trouble by cps if she still had thc in her system come delivery time. she had him just 21 days later and thankfully was clean and so was baby. she said they straight up treated her like a drug addict but they couldn't do anything since her and baby were negative. As far as developmentally he is perfect healthy and she also smoked with her other child and she is super smart. I think it just depends. I've heard alot of people say their kids are very smart and ahead and then some that arent. so it's hard to say for sure if it's from weed or other factors.
when I lived in Europe when pregnant with my first born the doctor actually suggested I use it because my morning sickness was so bad. Cultural differences. Very true. My sister in law smoked till her third trimester and then drank tons of green tea to detox lol
marijuana has been proved to assist in neurological development. however since it's still considered a stage one drug you can have your child taken away if found in your babies system. Nothing bad happens to the fetus that has been proven when smoked. Judging by all of the benefits of medical marijuana I highly doubt there are any bad ones beside the smoke and that depends on what you smoke out of.
My sister in law did and her son came out delayed. His reactions are slow. Its freaking horrible. Not to mention that cps got called to the hospital and to the house and she had to test clean for 6 months before they'd close the case.
