hey there mommas, is it normal for your baby to start eating only from one side at each nursing session? my daughter is just about 7 months and now she only wants to eat from one breast during her feeding after naps, I try to get her to nurse from both sides but she'll just turn her head away. she is eating solids as well but we do that after nursing so it can't be because she's full from that. just wondering if it's normal to not want to nurse as much in a single sitting
@verobaby, no matter how much I try I can't get anything to come out when I pump. even when my milk came in and my Boobs were huge and sore I couldn't get anything out in a pump.
if you pump take that opportunity to pump the side she didn't eat from. when my son started doing that at night i pumped & stored.
that's what I figured but being a first time mommy I wanted to make sure she's getting enough to eat. at night she'll nurse from both sides but not during the day
sure. they can do that at anytime. she may start nursing from both off she hits a growth spurt.

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. have you checked the suction or the size of the funnel thing. sometimes if it's too big or too small it won't stimulate your milk. also don't turn up the suction to max until you start to leak. i have to leave it on low for a few minutes before i get a let down then i turn it up. keep the speed low too until let down. if that doesn't help lactation consultants can also help with pumping. it took me a while to learn how to do it as well.
