Baby is 18 days old and still has his umbillical cord stump....anyone else's baby had theirs stay on this long?

my sons didnt fall off until between 3-4 weeks. I finally started putting a little alcohol on it to help it dry out.

My boyfriends cousins babies took forever to fall off its probably from getting it wet while trying to give them a bath. I would ask a doctor.
