ok so I breastfeed my daughter and I have a few frozen bags of milk for her so when I'm able to work it will easier on the daycare. well when she is 6 months or older I want to pump enough so that when she gets on baby food I'll be able to give her breast milk for breakfast and bed time or when she's sick. is this a good idea?
I did the same thing and continue to because I EBF... Baby is almost 5 months and has never had a bottle but I pump every night. The only thing that I wish I knew sooner was to freeze the milk in ice trays and then in a freezer bag because once defrosted you have to use the milk within 24 hours so I have some in regular Breastmilk freezer bags for future bottles or bigger meals but for right now I only need an ounce of breast milk so I only defrost the Breastmilk cubes for mixing into food so I don't waste any :)
what you need to remember is food before one is just for fun. so if you give your baby food and milk 3 meals a day like we would eat, you still need to nurse all day because milk is still the main part of their diet. solids doesn't replace anything until after a year old
