Currently sitting in the middle of my room with nothing but underwear and a sports bra, with a fan in my face and under my ceiling fan. With my window open and I'm still sweating. My mom doesn't believe in AC bc she is always cold. Even when the temperature in the house is over 80 degrees. My room is the one that faces the sun all day which means it absorbs all the heat of the day and it's always 3-5 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. Idk what to do anymore.

Go out and get the curtains there at Wal-Mart but they help keep it cool in your room during summer and warm during winter. I have them and there a life saver.

@tinyram09, thank you so much!!! I hope everything does turn out for the better. I have Medicaid, wic and food stamps and I applied for cash assistance and waiting on them to tell me!! And no, not nosey at all I know you're just trying to help lol I appreciate that! I'm gonna look into HUD housing and see how that works. Thank you again😽
damn hunny im sorry to hear that she is beong so damn difficult..thats definitely not good for you to have extra stress.. do you also get WIC that will help with the food stuff and you can also apply for cash assistance as well and if you got approved you could use that cash for the light bill and also id look into HUD housing.. if you qualify they give you a place of your own and you only have to pay a little in rent and they work with you on that... i would apply for everything i possibly could! right now i have pregnancy medicaid , WIC , and food stamps.. and im thinking of applying for cash assistance as well.. im not trying to be nosey or all in your business..im just trying to make some helpful suggestions so i hope you dont take offense or think damn this chic is all in my stuff..lol.. also i hope she will come around soon for you or atleast maybe she will come around some after the baby gets here.. but good luck and ill say a prayer for yall
@tinyram09, I asked her and she said that if I did that I would have to pay the light bill. She won't even let me get the fans that blow cold air. I don't have a job, and my SO just got laid off so we're trying to get our finances together so we can't afford to pay the light bill right now. I already spend my whole food stamp allowance for the month on her so she can have food bc she refuses to buy groceries. I just really hope we can get it together soon so we can move and the baby doesn't have to live in this heat😔😔😔
maybe you should see if she will let you get a small window unit for your room..it's definitely not good for you or the baby to get so overheated..and if its that bad now what are you going to do after the baby is born?
@bellahali, girl, every single time my mom turns the heater on I get sick. It gives me allergies and nausea. And my SO has asthma so he can't even breath!! They just don't get it
@aidensmamma, my mom deff is the AC nazi. All bc she doesn't want to pay more than 90 dollars for the energy bill. But lord forbids she gets cold...that heater will be turned up no matter how much money she has to pay!
My mil gets cold and turns on the heater. I die. I get so upset I want to cry! My vent is closed but the heat will still come in but by bit.
@aidensmamma, my mom went as far as basically unplugging the thing and lying straight to my face when I asked her what happened with the AC. She said she "didn't know" then when I figured it out like 8 minutes later and plugged it back in she came out her room yelling at me. Lol she was so upset she got caught in the lie
my mom use to do the same thing when I lived with her with my last pregnancy it was a AC war at night I just woke up sweating badly cause my bf messed with the AC while I was sleeping grrrrr
@bellahali, OMG same here. My mom literally went OFF on me bc I turned it on. I'm here like "there's a human inside of me. I am 8 months pregnant..?" And she's like well you're the only one complaining. I really think she forgets what being pregnant is like🙄🙄 my fiancé and even my CAT are hot. Lol like my kitty sits in the sink with the water running bc of how hot and muggy it feels in my room
My room faces the sun too and gets super hot. Everyone else in the house is fine and won't let me turn on the Ac 🙄
