So I had a WIC appointment the other day and according to their scale, I've only gained 3-4 pounds. After telling my mom, she freaked out on me pretty much saying I'm starving my daughter. But my doctor has never mentioned a problem with my weight or the fact that I haven't gained so much weight. Has it been like this with other moms with carrying their first child?
If your doctor hasn't said anything to you about your weight I don't think you should have to, but then again that's up to you if you feel like you should then it wouldn't hurt to talk to them about it (: but I really think the scales there at wic are off compared to the ones in the doctors office, all scales are different. @mamatobabys
I was too , and that's why I wasn't gaining much from what my Dr said. that for plus sizes it's normal to not gain as much till you're getting close to the end of the pregnancy suposably. my whole pregnancy I only gained 15. and lost 45 after
I had my second wic appointment this week and according to their scales I gained 20 pounds since my first appointment with them 21 weeks ago. They were all asking me if my doctor was concerned, and my doctor has never mentioned anything to me about my weight. I told them the scale is wrong because I had a doctors appointment not to long ago and my weight wasn't even close to gaining that much. I believe their scales at wic are off.
