Has anyone's blood pressure went up a little in really late pregnancy? I have heard that it's normal to go up a bit - mine has been around 125/85 at home (which is high for me there) and at the doctor today was 132/90. No protein in urine. I do have white coat hypertension but usually lower at home. Help!
Oh wow! That is crazy! Did they give it to you in the IV @emily18234
the medicine I was given actually lowered it so much during that I threw up, but it's just a temporary plunge while the medicine kicks in. your blood pressure plunges, you start shaking and can even throw up
Oh good @Emily18234 I am a c section too. And yes no protein at all so hopefully they can give me some medicine to lower it during surgery!
Mine went up but that was because I devolved preclampsia at 39 weeks
as long as there's no protein, you're good, but I was also a csection, so they just monitored it and told me to do whatever I needed to keep it down. I was talking completely random things and reading the labels on things. even in recovery it was a little high, but by the time we were in our room, it was back to safe
What did they tell you in L&D @emily18234 ? I have heard its normal later in the game bc your body is just under so much pressure. I'm scared of what I will do in delivery on Monday and I don't want them to freak out- it makes it worse!
mine always seems to go up in pregnancy. the day I went to l&d, it was like 135/90 or something and it's usually like 100/60
@brooklynsmom, it was whatever they put in my spine. it was a mix of 3 medicines.
