So I smoked weed regularly before I got preg & now it's very hard for me to stop. I do not want social services getting involved. I don't smoke as often as before, but I haven't stopped cold turkey because of my nausea. 😢 any advice?
Crazy thing is I bet weed is safer than any of the over the counter nausea medications. Not saying you should smoke because smoking during pregnancy is bad no matter what it is but I feel your pain. I was a cigarette smoker and it was hell trying to quit! To be honest when people ask what I want after the baby is born I say "A glass of wine and a cigarette!" Lmao
I know a friend who has social services involved because they tested the baby routinely and found weed in her system. She is now fighting a case to keep her kids. The hospitals do drug test sometimes... Be careful.
facts, which is exactly why I feel free to say wutever to a certain extent. never would I have put this on fb @kelseys
wuts crazy is my doctor actually came to me about it. every time I go for a check up they piss me, so I didn't lie about it. she basically said eventually I have to stop, I just haven't until today. @babymay2016
@vaniestroud0615, we don't personally know each other on here or others actual information besides what they put out there, so I'm sure nobody is calling CPS on this women. Many women smoke during pregnancy, even worse actually do hard core drugs so I'm sure she isn't going to get into trouble and some doctors actually continue to recommend smoking to some of their patients where its legal in their states.
Hey I really understand and it is super hard! I don't judge you or think you're a bad mom or anything. I think you're a great mom because you're worrying about it! I would talk to your doctor about B6 vitamin instead of Diclegis and they will most likely suggest that. It is super cheap and the same exact thing! Works wonders! I just meant not to mention weed to them, which I think I read that wrong but yeah that's all I was saying. I totally feel you girl and only wish you the best 😀
And just FYI, I don't know where you live or how your doctor is but I would NOT talk to your doctor about it. I can't remember the user but their was another preggie user recently who talked to her doctor about it, in confidence, and her doctor acted all cool and then reported her to CPS. She now is in legal trouble and possibly having her other children taken away, along with her baby. They are supposed to report you if they feel you are a danger to yourself or your child, and depending on the person they CAN report you. I hope you figure it out momma and make the best decision for you and your baby, but just from some other peoples experience I would not suggest talking to your doctor about it. I would just quit.
exactlyyy. I'm going to call my doctor 2mrw & I'm not smoking nun 2mrw, straight up. I only have april, may, & June left to clean out my system. fuck that, thanks for not judging not like igaf but I kinda do because I know I'm dead ass wrong. 😟 @babymay2016
@babymay2016, you are so right. exactly why I posted this, I need the courage to do wuts right. thanks for keeping it real
And doctors now prescribe Diclegis instead of Zofran, typically. Diclegis for me was sky high in price, even with two insurances. I take B6 vitamin with Zyrtec during the day and Unisom at night. Same thing as Diclegis, but it is over the counter and a lot cheaper. I am aware of all the arguments on how it is okay to smoke while pregnant, and like I said I agree except for the new laws and that just is NOT worth it girl. Good luck
thanks @marie_xo , ima call my doctor 2mrw because I don't won't to smoke anymore but girrllaa it's just not that simple. to others tho, I may sound unfit. girl it's crazy @marie_xo
I honestly don't see any harm with smoking weed during pregnancy or any other time, but the thing that made me stop was reading about new laws where they can not only fine you like before, but actually lock you up for "assault on a child" or something to that effect. It also takes longer than 30 days for marijuana to be out of your unborn baby's system. It isn't technically harmful but it is illegal and definitely not worth it to me. I love my baby boy and would never put myself in the position of maybe being taken away from him. It is just something you just have to DO. It isn't easy by any means, I really do understand and I'm not judging you. But just think of what could happen if you don't quit. Most people quit by 36wks or whatever, so that baby doesn't have it in their system, but you never know if you will go into labor before that. I would just weigh the options to yourself, and quit NOW.
its a nausea medicine. Talk to your doctor about it and see if they think it would be good for you. Some women are against as they claim it can cause birth defects, but there is no real evidence behind that so if i was you id try it. I still take it to this day and im 39 weeks.
Call police to investigate you then your baby will get took God forbid but believe me social media is no joke ylegacy16. ou@
Zofran is the only thing that worked for me so i didnt have to smoke anymore.
find an alternative for your nausea. diclegis works amazing wonders and is safe
talk to your doctor about it. there are a lot of women who are allowed to smoke per doctors consent to help with symptoms
yes, you right. & I am but I really needed some advice. wut can they do to me anywys? @vaniestroud0615
If you're smoking a blunt a day you're also consuming tobacco which is so not good for the baby! Weed I don't consider horrible for baby but tobacco is just a huge problem! Social services however will visit you when you have your baby if tested positive so just be careful and try to quit for now it's only temporary.
