ok I'm 36 weeks and 3 days I had to go to the hospital yesterday because of contractions that were 5 min apart but then began to get further apart....they checked me and said I'm closed but I'm soft.........today I started to have a few contractions close together and then they went away....my question is could my body be ready but needs help getting fully started because I'm in a good amount of pain and discomfort needing to know what I can do......please help ftm

your body is preparing for actual labor, just wait it out, most babies come on there own. with my first i had contractions on and off, and my feet were swollen pretty bad i ended up going into labor on my own a week later. i was 40 weeks 5 days.

I'm not sure if I'm losing my plug or not because in the past two days I have been checked three times and still trying to get the gunk gone
im as far along as you. dilated 1 cm and ive been losing my plug all day. been crampy and back pains contractions all afternoon. now my feet are swollen. guess ill wait it out through the night and see

nope its a normal your body is practicing and unfortunately it's going to do that until it's ready rather it's one day one week or one more month from now it's going to do that just hang in there it's almost over
