Okay ladies I need help . I'm trying to keep my skin clear . I wash my face and use face moisturizer but I'm still getting pimples .
My derm gave me a script for the two different gels that cleared my skin in a week, but that was before I had Kennedy. I probably won’t be able to use it again for awhile because we’re trying for a baby and you can’t use it when pregnant or breastfeeding. But I def suggest an appointment with a derm. If it’s hormonal acne then diet, washing face, changing sheets, etc won’t make a difference
Try an exfoliating facial scrub. I was like you and once I started exfoliating every other day, I saw a difference in less than 2 weeks
You might have to see a dermatologist. I think that's what they're called. And like someone said we are all different. It might even be the soap your using! I hope you get it figured out. 😊
My skin usually cannot go without salicylic acid. Or else i usually start breaking out. &’ I also use retinol to help maintain my skin ☺️
@momofboth, there is a lot! I use to wear Mac but stopped cause it clogged poures so bad and always have to re-apply , u should try Sephora they have all the name brand make up and I found one that I love and works for me without having to apply , I only apply the foundation once a day and it stays no oily look or nothing , it’s NARS it is pricey but works great and it last long, but Sephora u can find whatever brand u want cause they have it all ..
@jellybeans_mumm girl I don't even know where to begin . So many brands .
@momofboth, makeup is always fun , I just use the basics not to cakey looking .. foundation false lashes blush concealer lipstick sometimes eyeshadow
@jellybeans_mumm oh I don't really wear make up . If I do it's only on my eyes but it's rare . I'm not a make up person but I'm starting to get intrested in it. Just need to learn how to put it on and get the products i need .
It’s not good to, if you where makeup I just use a make up removal cleanser , and wash my face to remove it .. open pores will cause dirt and bacteria to get caught inside to where the blackheads and pimples form
@jellybeans_mumm oh I thought I had to moisturize every night .
You don’t want to do that, your exposing open pours more by doing that .. u want to moisturize at least once or twice a week .. when you have open pours you will break out a lot more , try setting up a facial and they tell you what would be good for your skin routine , I use Murad for my skin and it gives my face a glow I use it twice a week
It’s a splurge but I swear Rodens + Fields Soothe is magic for skin!
@bodybycheetos I guess so . I don't get massive pimples but I get them lol . I wash my face every night . I buy from the mcx here on base or the commissary.
Do you only have acne prone skin? How often are you using scrubs? Also, where are you buying your products from? (A lot of places with take returns even if you have opened skin care products, just ask)
@bodybycheetos face cleanser sometimes. I'm using bioré charcoal acne scrub , pond's dry skin cream. And ponds cucumber cleanser sometimes.
What are you using? Face wash/moisturizer/anything else wise.
@momofboth, some places will do samples. Origins will do like a face routine for you to try before buying.
@littleonemorning that's the problem I don't know what face wash to use . I don't want to keep buying all different types of face washes 😒😒😒😒😒.
@momofboth, then I don’t know what to tell ya, but something is got to be bothering your skin. 🤷♀️ might have to just try a different face wash routine or something. Some washes are designed to detox so they bring out pimples that were forming prior.
@littleonemorning oh I always wash everything once a week. But I got cha .
@momofboth, even “low” sugar things can trigger it. Like I said, lots of things can be causing it but most likely if you are taking care of your skin it’s something in your environment, like a pillow case that needs to be changed weekly and what not or too much sweat.
@littleonemorning soda, never , sugar yes but low sugar things , milk I don't drink often or any dairy products really and I only drink a small cup of coffee every morning with creamer
I also highly recommend a detoxing face mask once a week.
@momofboth, soda, too much caffeine and all that can cause break outs. Sugar, diary and so on can be triggers too. You might have to try and eliminate some thing to see how it helps cause everyone’s skin is different, what works for me might not work for you.
@klugo4 is that something you have to keep using and if you stop you get pimples?
@littleonemorning I don't really wear make up so it's not the make up that's messing with skin . My diet isn't really bad either .
Diet plays an important part.
You need to make sure you wash your face morning and night, don’t wear thick make up and so on.
OT. rant! forward facing early
ok, so in my birth month forum (October 2012) someone posted a picture of their lo riding in the car in a forward facing seat! what???? it baffles me when parents do this. I'm not trying to offend anyone.. but why do ppl do this?? the oldest baby in our birth month is 9 months, she was 3 months premature. but even at 9 months I wouldn't have my child forward facing.
So how do you Ladies feel about birth control. I'm against it cause I want my body to do what it naturally does. I've faced infertility issues so I'm not for it but my mom feels I should be on it after I have Tyson.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
I guess everyone is having sex tonight 😒😤 lol I'm sitting here stuffing my face with Frosted Flakes
I can’t wait to put my son forward facing in his car seat 👌🏼four more days
@OP. Yes! I have been using Clinique’s three step skincare system for a few years now. It really helped me clear up my acne prone skin. I find that I rarely have breakouts now. It’s incredible for your skin.
