So am i the only one whose washing my babies new things b4 i put them away. I had a stupid ass friend tell me only white people do that and 1of my white friends must have told me that. Im like no bitch my black mother told me 2 ?????
I done it and got fussed at by my dad. He's like why are you washing new clothes! lol. I may not with this one bc when I had to match it back up it was a good thing I took pictures prior lol.
Ditto @emeliaday ! It's crazy she would try to make it into that. Just like washing your fruit from the store before you eat it, right? Don't know who touched it before you did!
I bought a lot of the clothes from once upon a child and I'm washing all the clothes with Dreft.
I thought most moms did that? Like @emeliaday said, baby skin is super sensitive!
I washed everything. Baby skin is so sensitive I wanted everything to be washed and clean for him.
she is worried more about new they look rather than dust mites or what floor they fell on. Complete idiot
Im going to wash everything, but my boyfriend says hes never heard of it and doesnt understand why i would do that
it's no different then washing your new clothes you buy from the store before you wear them!
@cheche27, shes absolutely stupid. its not a race thing. its a personal choice
nope I'm going to wash all of my babies stuff. you don't know who touched it or if they smoked around it or where their hands have been
it's important to wash them first because you always want to get the excess dye off and you don't know if the manufacturer used a chemical finish to enhance color or texture. plus depending what country it is made in they all have different rules for which chemicals are allowed to be used in the process of making the clothes. (i read this in the Washington post)
