I have no real emotional connection with my mother -n- law , to me it's all fake , hugs and hi's that's just the vibe I get from her and I Honestly don't think it would change !

Right! And it's like the same old conversations over and over. I have an awesome relationship with my mom and I think she gets jealous that my son sees her a lot, but it's because my mom is cooler 😜 how long have you been in their family @mommyoftwosoon ?

I have the same problem I'm a goofball as well and my mother -n- law is so serious and we have nothing in common and all we talk about is my one year old like she is forever happy to see him and then she comes to hug me and be so serious and it's just so awkward ! 😞
I feel so awkward around mine! she's not great with showing emotions. we never have anything to talk about, and nothing in common. sucks!
