my little one will be a week old tomorrow. I'm having horrible cramping to the point I was in tears. I've never gotten cramps. I also was in the er Tuesday night for a high fever. and had a Dr's appointment and found out I have an infection in my uterus. cramping is normal after having a baby correct? I was told with the infection I will cramp. is there any ideas you mom's have found to help with horrible cramping?

With the infection, cramping may happen. I didn't cramp like that during my healing process, but I didn't get infection. I just take Motrin and use a heating pad for my cramps but they're not bad

heating pad or a hot hot bath with Epsom salt(it's in the bathroom stuff at the store) it releases muscles which will help the muscles that keep contracting to slow down and stop! always works for me

I'll keep trying that maybe heat it up so it's hotter. @candacelouise

Yes its normal. I've had cramping that hurt to the point I was bending over on the ground after I had my son.
