Sucks. I won't be able to feel my baby boy like every other first time mom:/ my placenta is in the front of my baby. I know I should be happy that he is healthy and growing. But it sucks that I can't do anything about it.. And I won't be able to feel him constantly until he gets bigger and his movements are stronger.
Everyone is telling me it's going to be ok. I'm sure it will, but it just sucks. I was so anxious to feel every movement. I'm even considering buying a heart monitor until I could feel him move to assure myself everything is ok.

My placenta was in the front and I could still feel my daughter. You just don't feel them as much as other moms. I felt my daughter move every day after 20wks

Yeah that's what I was told. That I will eventually but in the beginning I won't feel it constantly.

I also have an anterior placenta you will still be able to feel baby movement just not every movement.. Don't worry after awhile you will be able to feel everything

@sharondeshonta, after the first time I felt her at 20wks I felt her every day for the rest of my pregnancy. It is true you won't feel every movement but you will most likely be able to see every movement. There were times I'd watch my belly move but didn't feel her move

My son didn't move on my sonogram and his HB was 130 the week before it was a 152. That's what had me worried
Shawna Santistevan·
At first they'll be light movements, like butterflies in your tummy. But you'll know it's baby

I have an anterior placenta too and I thought I would never feel my daughter but I started feeling her all the time when I was 24 weeks and it was so wonderful. Just wait and know it will all be okay!! There might come a time when you go back to wishing you didn't feel your baby as much (like when they are kicking your ribs or keeping you up all night lol)

@santistevanmommie, yes I have felt it once and it was more like I was nervous it was funny. But I haven't felt them after that one time. @autumnjolene yeah I have heard that would happen. But I would rather the kicks that let me know that he is ok rather than not feeling anything and wondering. Sad part is the dr didn't tell me. I had to look it up on my reports.

I was told mine was in the front too... I didn't feel by baby until around 23-24 weeks, now I feel her all the time. You'll feel your baby soon, regardless of where the placenta is... Baby will run out of room!

I'm just so anxious. @amanda_marcozzi

makes me wonder if mine is in the front now....I hardly feel movement unlike I did with my son. I will be 20 weeks Saturday. I have an anatomy scan next Tuesday.

I was too. trust me, you'll feel your baby soon. I was pretty bummed reading all the apps each week "by now you're feeling all kinds of movement" nope!! but really, baby will run out of space and you'll definitely feel movement. it's an amazing feeling and I'm excited for you to experience it. try to relax and know it'll happen soon.
