My mom said buying a pack n play and crib is a waste of money? It's between me and my husband not everyone else she lives in Chicago and I'm in Texas I should tell her to buy the baby whatever she likes for her house

Rant! My sitter used cottonelle wet wipes on my baby! Now she has huge rash!!! I totally get that my SO forgot to put the wipes in her diaper bag. But she could have told one of us and we could have brought her some or she could have went to the store and I could pay her back. I don't get it. She buys her clothes and toys, takes her places while I'm at work. The store is literally a 5 minute walk from her house. But she decided cottonelle wipes are ok? Ugh. Rant over.
vent: found out today my MIL bought my baby her baby's first Christmas ornaments! I was beyond hurt and I'm mad. that's not her place. I don't get why she thinks she has this right to try and buy all my baby's first things. she had her daughter to do that with. my husbands reply "I'll take you tomorrow to buy one before she gives it to her!"
is it wrong to be frustrated that my daughter acts like she can't do certain things with out my help. she plays dumb a lot and I wish I could be like no girl show what you know. she acts like she can't trace or match shapes so shes ask for "mommy finger" to help her so I barely hold her hand and she magically can do it but if I dont hold her hand she just scribbles and acts like she doesnt know the pic is how she traces when I'm "helping her" otherwise it'll just be scribbles all over the page

I got both. I got a lot of thing I'm sure I probably won't use but at least I'll have it

I bought both. The crib is upstairs in the nursery and the pack and play will be down stairs for naps and diaper changes. A pack and play is also essential for traveling. You're the momma. Do what works for you!

In my opinion... We have both and we LOVE our pack and play! If we go on a trip we take it for the baby... We would move it into the living room and when my son is sick he doesn't like falling asleep without seeing us so on those nights we will pop the pack and play in our room and he falls right to sleep :)

Oh and this is my 5th baby. I had and used both items for all my kids!

i will have a pack n play and a crib. i was only going to go with a pack n play at least for the first year but i found a good deal on a crib i am going to get Wednesday. my mom and sister have both been judging my decisions as well, just the other day my sister said it was silly to spend a lot of money on a car seat, and that's just an example of multiple occasions. it is highly annoying and rude. i am slowly learning a way to tune them out... it is hard because i want positive support from them both. :( you do what you feel is best! but having both is not a waste, at least not to me.

We have both. They are both very useful, so I say stick to your gut.

just depends if you plan on the baby sleeping with you or not. most parents that have the baby sleep with them find a crib useless. I think a pack n play is always handy but I take it with me every where cuz we arnt home much. just depends on your life style. just like some choose to baby wear instead of buying a stroller

I bought the pack and play with the bassinet, so at first I wont have to get out of bed to feed lol

We have a pack and play and a crib. My girls slept together for the first 4 months by our bed in the pack and play and then we moved them to their cribs in their nursery. They're 8 months and we still use the pack and play
