My little guy is 4 months old.. I used to be able to put him to bed awake and he would fall asleep. Over the past few weeks he will only fall asleep on the nipple then once he passes out I'll put him in his bed and he will sleep for about 15 min then wake up screaming... I will do this routine about 3-4 times then finally he will pass out and sleep the whole night. On the rare occasions he wakes up in the middle of the night he will suck his thumb and go back to sleep and in the morning he also will self sooth.. It's only at bedtime. My husband thinks he is too attached to my boob and that I need to stop giving it to him after his last feeding... I don't think there is anything wrong with comforting him... What are your experiences?
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Can holding your newborn before and while they sleep create of habit of them needing to be held in order to fall and stay asleep? 😭 my son won't stay asleep unless I'm holding him. The minute I put him down he starts fidgeting and waking up.
how do u I get my newborn to sleep in his bed? he wakes up has a diaper change, a bottle, a good couple burps and falls back sleep until he hits his bed then he cries till I put him back on my chest.... I'm desperate for sleep...
Anybody baby won't sleep in their bassinet? Is their a way we can make it More comfortable? I was thinking taking a fuzzy blanket and tucking it under the lil mat that's in there because every time I set him down he wakes up right away.. But if I put him in bouncer he will stay asleep or in our bed he stays asleep but I really wanna stop the bed and start bassinet. Any recommendations?
There's nothing wrong with comforting him, what baby is doing is completely normal (although, it's kinda annoying). Baby will need to learn how to go back to sleep on his own but he's still young. Do what you think is best. PS my 5 month old is going through the same thing. This is teaching them how to trust and be comforted. This is good for their development. Nurse on momma!
