we don't vaccinate because the risk of dying from the disease isn't high enough for me to warrant other illness and issues caused by vaccines. if my child does get measles or something if your control the symptoms the risk of death isn't any higher than a common cold.
and there is no need to give a 2 month old a hep b vaccine. where the heck is my newborn babies going to be exposed to hep b? many vaccines are unnecessary at certain ages. there is a spike in sids at ages 2 and 4 months also and that is when babies get over loaded in vaccines. so I pass on them for a lot of reasons

it depends on your state. many states will allow your children to go to public school but waivers are required. it's just a trio to the health department. and you guys shouldn't be worried about your children be exposed to measles or anything else if they are vaccinated. if vaccines really work.

No one is heated here, i appreciate your comments. I just wanted someones opinion from someone who doesn't vaccinate, clearly my post says it. And im very aware my child cant go to school if shes not vaccinated. Im also trying to investigate what shots i can avoid or i can reschedule. @hellosweetie

I realize this is a hot botton issue for many people and was originally not even wanting to comment for this very reason but figured you wanted our opinions on the matter and would take it in stride. So, with that said, I will leave it at you've heard our opinions and it's your choice, no one here is gonna force you to choose one way or another so there's no need to get heated at anyone.

Good for you guys, im just trying to investigate more before putting those chemicals in my babies body! Vaccinated or unvaccinated kids will get sick! There is people who r unvaccinated and are perfectly healthy!

@hellosweetie, definitely true!! any illness is really scary in tiny babies. my friends daughter is in nicu for a common cold right now, I can't imagine what happens with more serious illness.... the vaccines help your body recognize and fight off these infections easier though, so even if there is contact and there are any symptoms, they will be much more mild. Web MD talks about it in the whooping cough article, so it's no secret.....---------------
as for main poster, this is what we believe in, do whatever sounds right for you based on whatever research you believe in (:

@kattastrophe, very true, I only worry about age gaps...I just read recently that someone's un-vaccinated kid had something (forget what but it was one of the preventable illnesses) and the school had to call all the parents and notify them. One of the parent's older kids were sick and possibly had what the un-vaccinated kid had (a milder version but still) and the mother was panicking because she had a 2 month old baby in the home with her older child that hadn't beeb vaccinated.....it's a scary thought that if my child isn't vaccinated enough to prevent certain things yet an older child could spread it to her 😱

@hellosweetie, now that my daughter is vaccinated, I'm not so worried about the unvaccinated kids affecting her. I do worry about kids who can't get the vaccine though because, even though there's conflicting research, I believe in heard immunity.

I couldnt live with myself if my daughter died from something that I could have prevented by vaccinating. California doesn't let unvaccinated kids go to public school any more, but homeschooling is an option. I personally vaccinate though. I could hear 100 stories of people who had an inverse reaction to the vaccine, and would still choose to vaccinate because of the millions of cases of the (now preventable) illnesses. diptheria is a disgusting illness, pertussis is a scary one, measles are scary too, and so is polio. you are free to do as you choose, but third world countries are begging for these shots because they see the disease, while people here are scared of the shots because they think they don't exist or are invincible or something. people live to be 100 because of modern medicine.

@b3autifulm3ss, I feel the same way, it may sound selfish but I don't want my child at risk because of someone else's choice....I'm not bashing, just an overly protective mom like the rest of us 😂 lol it's fine if that's someone's choice to not vaccinate, that's just not my choice and I shouldn't have to risk my kid because of someone else's choice

@hellosweetie, the school's where I live you can't attend unless vaccinated (thank you Lord!) I don't want my children even possibly exposed…

it just sucks because once your child starts school they automatically ask for immunization record, and some schools will refuse to le you enroll your child unless they have their shots up to date

@jgarciamua, oh btw if you spread out the vaccines the chances of even a small reaction decreases dramatically… I only let them give my child one thing at a time (besides the liquid oral vaccine) he got that and a shot (so twice he was given oral and one shot)

The risks from the vaccines are far less than the diseases that can be contracted and spread to other children without them, in my opinion.....studies have proven that vaccinations do not cause autism but in my mind, even if that was a risk, I rather have an autistic child than one who is crippled or dead from preventable diseases like polio. This is just my opinion on the matter, and I do hope that the children that my girl will go to school will be vaccinated, too.

Yeah, I know all the possible side effects. But guess what the possible side effects of not vaccinating are? All lead to death. I'll take my chances.
Think of the amount of children vaccinated every day.

unless u plan on homeschooling goodluck with getting your child(ren) into school or programs @theemmariefactor I agree 100000% the things that vaccines prevent are far more deadly than the chances of your child having a deadly reaction…

Ive researched bc i have written 2 essays about. And let me tell its not just a little reaction. I mean its unlikely to happen but i would like to avoid it. @unbecomingme

Yes, I have. But they aren't likely. I do know some have had relations to vaccines. But they are not extremely likely to happen. And usually they start off with a slight reaction first. Very rarely is it a full blown bad reaction.

Have you read about the serious side effects vaccines can cause? @theemmariefactor @unbecomingme

My children will be vaccinated. The amount of "toxic" stuff in vaccines is nothing compared to the food we eat daily. There are children with medical issues that can not be vaccinated, and the day I let my kid be the reason one of them gets measles and dies. Plus, I'll take the minuscule traces of toxic things over polio any day. It's not my job to decide to bring back to plague, either.

Do your research. There are a great many resources online that are unbiased and will tell you the pros and cons. Ultimately it is your choice. I chose to vaccinate, but I do understand people who don't. :) just remember, you can always "catch up" later if you aren't sure. You cannot unvaccinate.
