moms who were induced, how was it?? ill be induced at 7pm next week and Im nervous about sleeping that evening.. I know they will use the pill to thin me out and they said it could take 24 hours to get me into labor and then start the pitocin, anyone else have a similar induction?
yeah i agree, everyone is different about how they take to meds and what not, ill just have to see how it works out! @ashalay88
I was induced at 9pm and had him at 5:13pm the next day. I wasn't dilated or effaced at all when I checked in at 530pm either, I was even 9 days overdue!. They used cervidil (sp?) and around 2 am it fell out and I was at a 4, fully effaced. I labored until noon without anything, then added pitocin, hit 7cm around 330 they broke my water and I started pushing around 415. I tried to get an epidural, but both attempts left me with only numb legs! I took a benadryl the night of, but didn't sleep until morning! All in all, I had a pretty good experience!! As far as people saying its a long and painful process, regular labor without help is long and painful too. Anyway, good luck!
oh yeah epidural all the way!! I have nothin to prove, just tryin to be happy! but thats awesome, things went fast for you! @babyboy1202
I was induced at midnight and had my boys at 607pm and 614pm. it wasn't bad, I have nothing to compare it to but it was a pretty good experience
I was induced. Start pitocin at 7 p.m. And I had my boy next morning 8:11 am. It wasnt really bad but I did tired alot. I didnt feel alot cause I had an epidural. Its a life saver
yeah some people dont react well to the meds, we will have to see how it goes, anything for a healthy baby! @nique1990
yeah im not sure how long mine will take.. im 50% effaced and 3 1/2 cm dialated already but that doesnt mean things wont be slow! im gonna try my best to sleep that night but im afraid my nerves will get the best of me! @caitlynnrosee
I was induced. Went in on Thursday at 1cm, and had him Saturday afternoon. It's a long process. I had the pill, and then the pitocin as well. The pitocin is when it really starts getting intense and you get the strong contractions. When I started it I went from 5cm to 9cm in 30 mins. Just try to get as much rest as you can in the hospital. It's hard, but it's much needed 😌
it really wasn't I do have to say when they were trying to dilate me that was a bit rough but still bearable, they used a bulb to dilate me and pictocin as well but my body wasn't ready for them to come, I was 37 weeks 1 day (full term for twins) if I was further along I probably would have dilated much faster in the beginning but again still not bad, I'd do it the same way again if I had to lol
