I don't know how much longer I can do this whole eating for two thing will last... it's making me sick. I've never been able to eat a lot of anything now my belly is weighing me down and feel so nauseated... how do you adjust from eating little to eating a huge thing???

Well you certainly don't have to force giant amounts of food at once. Try snacking every hour (healthy obviously) just eat your regular breakfast, lunch and dinner along with multiple snacks throughout the day.

Going through the same , I eat small snacks throughout the day

I was told to not have that "eating for two" mindset, I'm on the thinner side & ive been able to eat almost the same way I was before (a little bit more regularly & healthier than before tho) & my baby is fine! Were you told you needed to eat more by your doctor?

It is definitely not like that. That eating for 2 thing doesn't mean you need to eat double. It's just more about quality and not quantity while pregnant.. I am not used to eating a lot and I still don't, plus I don't want to get fat after. you'll only need to gain like 25 lbs from the baby which happens later on. I would say eat small things every 3 hours.. I do Ezekiel toast with eggs and avocado as a spread... that way I'm getting good fats. an apple later, hummus and veggies, a spinach salad with berries and almonds, fruit bowl and cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, an actual meal... and more light things. Just try to keep your food colorful because everything has different vitamins and minerals. Eat healthy and small and you'll feel great! Plus you won't gain a lot of unnecessary weight like a lot of people do.

@killxj0y, that's what I was told as well. but I've been getting super sick lately and it's cuz my baby is trying to eat from what I have which is little and it's making me sick. yeah they said I need to start eating for two cuz I'm not gaining any weight and my baby is going to be on the smaller side (thinner) when he comes out

Oh :( well @dearanaleigh's advice is spot on! Quality over quantity for sure. Sometimes things just can't be helped!! As long as you & your baby are healthy that's the most important thing

sorry I must have been typing and took a break to eat before you even posted that. but if you were told by your OB you had to gain more weight try foods that are still healthy but higher in fats, full fat dairy, avocados, nuts... things that seem light but will let you gain still & won't make you feel too yucky because they aren't all processed and stuff. If you can get them of course... if not, best of luck anyway.

@dearanaleigh, that's the thing I eat those all the time and it doesn't do anything...

Wow! I envy your metabolism. lol
Well once again best of luck darling. 😊
