Anyone else a FTM and so sick of all the negative things people constantly give you unwanted advice about? I'm so tired of hearing how I will never sleep again and how terrible it is at first. I wanted this for 10+ years and view my princess as a true miracle/blessing and I am beyond willing to give up sleep for her! Ok rant over 😁
I agree with you @aj33 this is also my first baby and I feel like how @ella1007 feels about enjoying every second but I also realize that it's going to be just as hard as it is amazing. I have been through the loss of a child and also have been waiting years for this baby, but at the same time you have to be realistic and realize that this little angel relies on you for literally every single thing and that can take it's toll on even the happiest mother. if you think that you will just jump up and know what to do at all times or be able to even jump up after birth you are setting yourself up for disappointment. nobody is being negative, they are trying to tell you ahead of time the reality of what is about to happen to you, if everyone is saying the same thing it's worth listening to.
@dee937, I understand! I will be 35 this year also. Prayers that you get your blessing!
@ella1007, I will be 35 this year, praying for my rainbow baby! I sure hope it happens. I can't wait to complain about sleepless nights etc..hehe
@aj33, I think it annoys me the most because the people that usually says these things just easily had children. I have done everything you can imagine to have this baby. And I lived with my friend when she had her twins to help her so I know it's hard at first but to someone who has went through my struggle it's worth everything you suffer
@dee937, thanks! I plan to enjoy every second of this baby. It has been a long hard road to get here
after I had my first, all I could think was why didn't any one tell me all of the hard stuff? you get to thinking in your head, and expecting things to be way easier than they are, and it was hard for me to deal with the basic hard things like sleep deprivation at first. it's best to not have things sugar coated. all these people are actually Kinda doing you a favor
I wouldn't trade my kids for anything I'd be lost without my babies
@newmommy23, exactly!! Being a mommy is the biggest blessing
@ella1007, omg yes! I am a FTM and people keep telling me "its not about you anymore its about the baby", "you think you're tired now just wait until the baby is born", or the worst one I've been told is "once the baby is born you're life is over". Its so annoying! My son means the world to me and my life is not over its just started! I get to raise a beautiful baby boy and take care of him and watch him grow! The best thing that has ever happened to me was finding out i was pregnant and becoming my sons mom! I Wouldnt trade it for anything in the world!
@vanna_west, I've already been warned I shouldn't have more kids. It's so rude! And in my opinion life just begins when you have kids!
@raegenice, those are the comments I hate the most! Or you will see what I go through soon ugh
Exactly ! & if you want breaks should of thought twice before getting pregnant so you won't have to complain all the time!
I'm on baby number 2 and I still understand.. I was 18 when I found out about my first son 2 weeks after high school graduation and people was always talking about how my life was over. now people just keep saying negative stuff about having 2 the your never gonna have a break and it's gonna be so stressful.. it's super annoying
people put their situations and think its going to happen to everyone.. i might have a quick and easy labor.. who knows.. i want to be natural.. only the ppl that have done natural support it..everyone else is like oh no watch ur gonna need an epidural.. .like callate idc lol imma do what. i want
@_stephanie.g, that annoys the crap out of me! moms don't get breaks!! I have a great SO that is so supportive too so it's not like I'm alone I will have his help
Exactly! Like I'm not putting something on hold that will better my son's future because I got pregnant unexpectedly. My boyfriend is a big reason why I'm staying in because he wants me to finish and said he'll make sure I have time to do my work and stuff and the other half is for the baby.
I'm not a first time mom & I can say I had great sleep with both my boys & it's sad to see moms that are or aren't first time say how annoyed the are & already needing breaks from thier one week old babies...
I get tired of it as a "seasoned" mom!!!! I still get advice... haha
@scc2413, I know right? I'm sure juggling all those things will be tough but that's life!
Family members especially saying "you'll see" "just watch" "he'll be like this if you do this"....and I'm just like if I didn't ask for your advice, don't spew your negativity 🙃
lol yes or how labor hurts and breastfeeding is hard.. like okay i wouldnt think pushing out a 7 lb baby out a hole as big as a lemon would anything less than delightful
The first week my little guy only woke up twice then he was down to once per night and by six weeks he was sleeping 9pm-8am... And he is exclusively breastfed... Yes that's not the norm but fuck everyone who tries to be negative
@katearabella, I pretty much have but I just want to slap some people. Especially the ones that have 3 or 4 kids. I'm thinking well it must not be that bad cause your ass keeps doing it lol
I hear it all the time. It's even worse being in school too. Everyone says I'm crazy for staying in school with a new born and how hard it'll be. Then I get the whole you'll never sleep again. Then everyone insists on trying to tell us what we HAVE to do with our son and I'm just sitting here like....are ya done talking yet?
I'm a FTM and honestly just gotta learn to say fuck them because it's your baby and your choice and no sleep really didn't expect 8 hours of sleep having a baby right
I see so many mommies giving their babies rice cereal to sleep even though it's not recommended? Why?
I can't sleep & im bored so i wonder *how you knew you were pregnant?* ☺️
I want to have sex so bad , this waiting game is no joke 🙄😩😂 how soon after giving birth did you ladies do the nasty 😩😂??
so I have a habit of sleeping on my back , I hear that's bad. any tips on how to sleep different?
Co-Sleeping, how old is to old?
I personally do not co-sleep. I tried it once and woke up panicked that I rolled on him, so it's just not for me. But my question is how old is to old for a child to be sleeping with parent? I see moms with 2+ year olds, so when is your cut off? I knew someone who co-slept until 10.
@amandaroper012287, I get that side too. I know it's going to be hard and there will be times that are not fun but it's the way some people say it. I know my life is about to completely change and not all of it is peachy but it's worth it. Some of the people I'm referring to has 3-4 kids and constantly complains about it so I don't want to hear from them how terrible parenthood is and how my freedom is over. But I only have 5-6 more days until the baby will be here and I can see for myself 😉
