If braxton hicks become painful, is that a sign of labor coming in the next couple weeks?

@bh90, yeah I didn't really feel all of them, but some I felt and 6 an hour was after they gave me 3L of fluids.. it's extremely important to stay hydrated in your last stretch of pregnancy

@bh90, I'd say make sure your drinking lots of water more then the usual, because entering your 3rd trimester you really need more fluids. I got sick this last weekend at 32 almost 33 weeks and needed 4L of fluid thankfully baby was okay but i was contracting more then 6 times a hour which is the start of preterm labor.

I think everyone's different in how they experience them, I had painful ones a couple weeks ago but was definitely dehydrated. Drink lots of water & lay on your left side... if that doesn't help then I think it would be worth a call to your OB just to make sure everything is okay.

I don't think they are regular, I have never noticed them before until last night when I was leaning down shaving my legs and started to get mild cramps and pressure downward. I layed down and it subsided. And that's it. A few days ago I noticed that my stomach dropped too. @aphrodite2014

if your having painful BH you should be concerned. I was contracting the other day when I was dehydrated and barley felt them and I'm 33 weeks. your not far enough long to have them hurt and or become regular

No it's just your body practicing for real labor
