So I told my husband I was really depressed about the not getting a baby shower as I was told. His answer was "When we get paid we will go buy baby stuff ourselves and have our own baby shower" We aren't invinting anyone he says it will be just us and the dogs (he doubts they will bring anything). He's so amazing.

@jaklynsmommy, haha that's the same way for me but in reverse! my side of the family this is the first grand baby and great grandbaby so they bought almost everything they said everyone else can get the cute little things hahaha
@aphrodite2014, my husband is an only child so my MIL spoils him and this is her 1st grand baby so she's bought alot already because she's so excited. She said she had to stop buying stuff so my family could lol.
@jaklynsmommy, yeah my mom bought quite a bit because she felt bad she couldn't be here, but my mom is well off and so in my aunt that bought a ton of stuff too they both have good jobs and know how to manage money well..
@aphrodite2014, we don't have everything yet,but I know our families are still buying stuff. I know my MIL will buy things if we desperate need her to

@aphrodite2014, I was a nanny before I got pregnant so I don't have co workers. I know a baby shower isn't a big deal,but it's just something I always wanted. You know the games,the cupcakes all that lol.
@jaklynsmommy, you do have a sweet one! I know the feeling of being away from family and not having a ton of friends... my coworkers did a little something for me but I didn't get a real big shower either even though someone I knew said they would also
@daniellethomson, we don't live by our family and friends. A friend out here said she would throw me one and now she hasn't brought it up since she said it.
