So ladies question if my newborn is crying just to cry or because he is tired should I constantly hold and rock him or is it okay to put him in his bouncer and bounce him and let him kinda work it out on his own. Or maybe a mixture of both.....
Thanks so much for the shout out @bellie0225 lol and @whitneym, to answer your first question, I would say holding your baby and trying to breastfeed are both good options. Baby's are developmentally unable to become "spoiled" by love and comfort, this is scientifically proven, as is the possible damage that letting them cry without comfort from their parents...I'm not saying jump to the baby's aid at every peep, but if your baby is crying, there's a reason and it's best to respond to their cries by comforting and trying to figure out why they're crying. Most of the time if it's not the usual things, then it's because they are scared or loney and need comfort from mom or dad...and studies show that babies who have their needs met and are held and comforted when crying actually grow into MORE independent children and adults later in life, whereas babies who were left to cry tend to be more needy and less confident in themselves later down the road...but like I said, it's not like you need to run to baby's aid immediately, but it's advised to pick baby up if the crying continues or sounds really upset. As for the breastfeeding, @bellie0225's suggestions were very good! And breastfeeding and be a form of comfort for babies that is unbeatable in my opinion, because when they nurse hormones like oxytocin are released and both mother and baby feel loved and sleepy and comfortable 😍 it's a beautiful thing! If you need any help with breastfeeding please feel free to message me any time 😊 wishing you all the luck!
Okay that's still good tho! Pump pump pump pump pump! Every two hours. Drink a lot of Gatorade . Also every time he's hungry don't automatically give him formula latch him on as much as you can. I know it's hard but he's going to be latched on you for while. It's called cluster feedings. You need to latch him on. It's extremely important. Try, a dark beer when you wake up then pump 2 hours later. Do that everyday . I promise it will help. If any other questions ask my good friend @hellosweetie any advice.
@bellie0225, any advice on how to build up my supply? He was doing great until I ran out 😒
That's great!!! Don't stop trying !!! I promise it's worth it! Any pharmacy. I hope it helps!
@bellie0225, yes I got a nipple shield today and it definitely helps! I was able to breastfeed for the first time. Now I just need to built up my supply. Oh okay where do they sell that?
It sounds like colic. Babys don't just cry, there is something he doesn't like. I really recommend breastfeeding. I promise you he won't cry as much. Try colic drops! By the little remedies brand. I'm sure that will help.
@bellie0225, I honestly don't know. And no I'm trying to though
switch off, few minutes holding, put him down, pick him up(lets him know your there) etc, its hard but its best so they aren't so dependent on you
@b3autifulm3ss, okay so should I hold him and if he keeps crying for a certain amount of time just put him down or the other way around? I always feel so bad when he cries. 😩
My son is one year old and i want him to go back and get use to sleeping in the crib I put him in the crib and all he does is cry and I spoke to his doctor and his doctor said let him cry like in 2 or 3 days he should get use to sleeping on his own has anyone try it ?
my baby is getting his circumcision I just couldn't be in the room to hear him cry :'((

I'm back home from the hospital. It was a really long and hard weekend.I had my sweet baby boy. These are some of his things they gave him. That's the little hat they put on him and the little blanket they wrapped him up in. They also gave us the bear and keepsake box for his things.
Hmm just fed my baby 4oz and he kept crying and sucking in his thumb after. So I fixed him two more ounces. Guess he is ready to start getting more 🤷🏻♀️
I feel like a bad mom my baby cried his self to sleep 😢. But I was cooking and his dad was busy doing his homework for his college class . And he wanted to be carried 😢😔😕... Is it bad to let him cry?
@hellosweetie, thank you so much!!
